We have all heard of those chirper units that randomly make frustrating noises for no other explanation than sending people insane. This venture from [Kousuke Saito] brings altogether far more art to this strategy, though continue to remaining rather troublesome indeed.
The develop is in essence a duplicate cicada. [Saito] was influenced to create the product as the seems of the insect remind him fondly of the summertime. His design consists of a 3D-printed housing that roughly approximates something like a cicada, with two wings attached to a central entire body. In this situation, the layer traces of the 3D print really included to the realism of the ersatz insect The housing is nicely painted to serve as an suitable simulacra to these who aren’t up on their entomology.
Inside of, there’s an ATTiny 85 paired with an MP3 playback module and a compact speaker. It is billed with reproducing the sounds of numerous cicadas.
